UMYU Registration Procedure for 2024/2025 Freshers


UMYU has announced the registration process for new students admitted in the 2024/2025 session. This guide covers admission confirmation, required documents, fee payments, screening, and central registration. Read on for step-by-step instructions.



Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina, has released registration instructions for students admitted for the 2024/2025 academic session.



This guide applies to candidates admitted into 100 Level and 200 Level (Direct Entry) programmes.


Confirm Admission StatusCheck if your name appears on the UMYU UTME Admission List or UMYU Direct Entry Admission List.
Verify the course offered. If different from the one applied for, visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre or a JAMB office to update the programme.
Ensure your O’ Level and A’ Level results are uploaded on the JAMB portal. This can be done at any JAMB-approved CBT centre.


Accept Admission and Pay Acceptance FeeLog in to the UMYU portal.
Complete the acceptance fee payment and print the provisional admission letter along with other documents.
Follow the step-by-step registration guidelines provided on the university website.
Screening Requirements

After payment, visit the university for screening with the following:Printed University admission letter.
Original and photocopies of O’ Level and A’ Level results.
A scratch card for result verification.
School credentials.
Birth certificate.
Certificate of origin.
Accept Admission on JAMB CAPSAccept the offer via JAMB CAPS.
Print the JAMB admission letter and submit a copy during Central Registration.
The admission confirmation process may take 24–48 hours.
Central Registration ProcessRegistration opens on 3rd February 2025.
Only students who completed screening will be granted access.
Pay the required registration fees via UMYU’s official website.
Upload a passport photograph and signature.
Register for first-semester courses and print all documents.
Documentation at the UniversityReport to your Department to open a file with the Level Adviser.
Submit required documents at your Faculty and Academic Office.
Provide passport photographs, school credentials, and necessary forms.

Adhere to all registration steps and meet the deadlines to avoid complications.
