OSPOLY Iree Enforces Dress Code for Students


OSPOLY Iree has enforced a dress code to stop indecent dressing among students. A monitoring committee will ensure compliance, and violations will lead to disciplinary action. Read further to see the full list of prohibited dress styles.



Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has introduced a dress code policy to regulate student dressing. The institution’s Board of Studies approved this measure on 3 November 2022 to prevent indecent dressing.



A monitoring committee has been established to enforce the rule and identify violators. The Students Disciplinary Committee (SDC) will apply appropriate sanctions against offenders.

The monitoring committee will operate at the faculty level and inspect lecture halls, workshops, and laboratories to ensure compliance.
Prohibited Dressing Styles

Students are warned against the following:Crazy jeans for both men and women
Sagging trousers
Coloured hair
Earrings for men and nose rings for women
Tattoos
Loitering jeans trousers
Bathroom slippers or bum shorts
Dreadlocks for men
Face caps for both men and women
Spaghetti gowns
Short skirts above the knees
Wagging trousers
Ankle chains for women
Long eyelashes for women
Perforated jeans
Gowns or blouses exposing the navel or breast
Knickers
Net dresses or transparent blouses
Hairstyles with inscriptions
Hair extensions in colours such as blue, green, white, yellow, red, pink, and purple
Armless blouses for women and armless shirts for both men and women
Mini skirts
Dressing without bra or underwear
Curled hair for men

All students must comply with the dress code to uphold the institution’s reputation. Any student caught violating the rule will face disciplinary action.
