Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission must meet the following criteria:Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O Level in not more than two sittings.
Doctorate applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Petroleum and Energy Economics or its equivalent.
Master’s degree candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division or its equivalent from recognised institutions. A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Petroleum and Energy Economics is also acceptable.
PGD candidates should possess a minimum of a Third Class Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or its equivalent from recognised institutions.
Applicants must have an NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
Course Duration
The duration for each programme varies as follows:Professional Doctorate DegreeFull-Time: Minimum of 36 months
Part-Time: Minimum of 42 months
MSc and Professional Master DegreesFull-Time: Minimum of three semesters and maximum of six semesters
Part-Time: Minimum of six semesters and maximum of eight semesters
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)Full-Time: Minimum of two semesters and maximum of four semesters
Part-Time: Minimum of four semesters and maximum of six semesters
