IAUE Secures NUC Approval for 14 New Programmes



The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the establishment of fourteen new academic programmes for Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt.



These programmes will be offered on a full-time basis at the University’s main campus starting from the 2024/2025 academic session.

This approval was confirmed in a letter sent to the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, by the Acting Director of Academic Planning at the NUC, Abubakar M. Girel.

The letter, dated 11 December 2024, was signed on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary of the NUC, Mallam Chris J. Maiyaki.

The approval followed an assessment visit by experts who reviewed the University’s resources and readiness to host the new programmes.
