The Agora Policy Writing Fellowship 2025 invites early to mid-career professionals from Nigerian civil society, media organisations, think tanks, and government to apply.



This fellowship aims to enhance the capacity of participants to develop, research, and write impactful policy papers.

Fellowship Overview

The Agora Policy Writing Fellowship is part of the Policy Support, Deepening and Engagement (PSDE) project.

This initiative promotes data-driven and participatory policymaking and governance in Nigeria.

The project is supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

The fellowship is non-residential and spans three months.

Fellows will attend writing workshops, receive supervision, and work on individual writing projects with research grants available.

Agora Policy is a Nigerian think tank committed to evidence-based solutions and practical policymaking.


Eligibility for the Fellowship

Applicants must have a first degree in any field.

Candidates should be comfortable working with data.

A passion for research, writing, and public policy is essential.
Application Requirements

To apply, candidates must submit the following:A 400-word statement of purpose.
A resume or CV.
Two policy-related writing samples, which may be published or unpublished.
A letter of endorsement from an employer or a reference letter for freelancers.
