The Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has urged final-year students to exercise caution during their sign-out ceremony celebrations.
This comes after observations of past years where celebratory activities have resulted in unfortunate incidents.
While the management understands the significance of celebrating the completion of academic journeys, it stresses the need for safety.
In the past, some of these celebrations have led to tragic outcomes both within the institution and in other schools.
As a result, the management has issued a directive to prevent any wild celebrations that may put students at risk.
There will be no funfair allowed on campus, and students are encouraged to focus on completing their examinations before returning home.
Strict measures will be enforced to ensure that no lives are endangered during this period.
Any student found disobeying this directive will face serious consequences.
Final-year students are expected to comply with the following instructions:No vehicles belonging to students will be allowed entry into the campus.
No musical displays will be permitted in or around the campus.
No processions or gatherings of any kind will be tolerated.
No chanting of provocative songs will be allowed on campus.
