UNILAG Academic Calendar for First SemesterThe first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session will begin with online registration for all returning students on Monday, 12th August 2024.
The screening and registration for the first batch of fresh students and the second batch of fresh students will be announced soon.
Lectures will commence on Monday, 28th October 2024.
The end of registration for all students will be on Sunday, 24th November 2024.
The date for students to move into residence will be determined by the DSA.
The orientation programme for fresh students and the matriculation ceremony will also be announced.
Course editing will take place from Monday, 9th December 2024 to Sunday, 22nd December 2024.
The Christmas and New Year break will be from Monday, 23rd December 2024 to Sunday, 5th January 2025.
Lectures resume on Monday, 6th January 2025.
The convocation lecture will be on Monday, 13th January 2025, and the convocation ceremonies will be held from Tuesday, 14th January to Thursday, 16th January 2025.
Lectures will end on Friday, 14th February 2025.
A lecture-free week and GST examinations will take place from Monday, 17th February to Friday, 21st February 2025.
Undergraduate examinations in all faculties will be conducted from Monday, 24th February to Saturday, 8th March 2025.
Examinations for core courses in the Faculty of Education will be from Monday, 10th March to Saturday, 15th March 2025.
The first semester ends on Saturday, 15th March 2025, which is also the beginning of the second semester registration portal opening.
The first semester break will be from Monday, 17th March to Friday, 28th March 2025.
The BCOS consideration of results will commence on Tuesday, 15th April 2025.
The senate meeting for consideration of results will be held on Wednesday, 28th May 2025.
Statutory Programmes During First SemesterFaculty Board of Studies/Examiners: Second Wednesday of every month.
Inaugural Lecture: First and third Wednesday of every month.
Senate Meeting: Last Wednesday of every month.
Uploading of Results: Two weeks after examinations.
UNILAG Academic Calendar for Second SemesterThe second semester of the 2024/2025 session will begin with online course registration on Saturday, 15th March 2025.
Lectures for the second semester will commence on Monday, 31st March 2025.
The end of course registration will be on Sunday, 27th April 2025.
Course editing will occur between Monday, 5th May and Sunday, 18th May 2025.
Lectures will end on Friday, 4th July 2025.
A lecture-free week and GST examinations will take place from Monday, 7th July to Friday, 11th July 2025.
The undergraduate examination for all faculties will be held from Monday, 14th July to Saturday, 26th July 2025.
The examinations for core courses in the Faculty of Education will run from Monday, 28th July to Saturday, 2nd August 2025.
The second semester ends on Saturday, 2nd August 2025, and the registration portal for the 2025/2026 session will open on the same day.
The consideration of results by BCOS will start on Thursday, 2nd September 2025.
The DLI residential programme will begin on Monday, 8th August 2025 and end on Saturday, 13th September 2025.
The senate meeting for consideration of results will be on Wednesday, 24th September 2025.
The proposed date for the resumption of the 2025/2026 session is Monday, 27th October 2025.
