This competition encourages students to develop strong spelling and language skills while offering the chance to win over ₦24 million in prizes.

Competition Stages

The first stage takes place on the MTN mPulse website and is open to students aged 9 to 15 years.

The top 1000 participants from the first round will receive email invitations to join the second stage, which will also be conducted online.

The top 20 students from the second round will qualify for the Grand Finale, which will be held as a physical event.

MTN Spelling Bee Requirements

To participate in the MTN Spelling Bee Competition, students must:Be primary or secondary school students in Nigeria.
Be between the ages of 9 and 15.
Live in Nigeria.
Register as students to participate in the competition.

Parents are not allowed to take part in the competition.
MTN Spelling Bee Competition Rewards

The MTN Spelling Bee Competition offers several prizes for students, their schools, and their teachers.
1st PrizeStudent: ₦5 million scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone, and an mPulse goody bag.
School: ICT lab with 10 laptops and 10 MTN Hynetflex devices.
Teacher: ₦500,000 cash prize.
2nd PrizeStudent: ₦2.5 million scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone, and an mPulse goody bag.
Teacher: ₦300,000 cash prize.
3rd PrizeStudent: ₦1.5 million scholarship grant, 1 laptop, 1 smartphone, and an mPulse goody bag.
Teacher: ₦200,000 cash prize.
4th – 10th Finalists

Each finalist will receive a ₦500,000 cash prize and an mPulse goody bag.
11th – 20th Finalists

Each finalist will receive a ₦200,000 cash prize and an mPulse goody bag.
How to Participate

To participate in the MTN Spelling Bee Competition, follow these steps:Visit the MTN mPulse website.
Click on the Spelling Bee banner.
Register or log in as a student.
Complete the practice test multiple times.
When ready, click on Entry Stage to begin the competition.
Important NotesThe competition is only for Nigerian students aged 9 to 15 years.
Parents are not allowed to take part.
Registration as a student is required to participate.
Top 20 finalists must be on the MTN mPulse tariff plan.
