The Federal Government has declared that only eight universities are accredited to award degrees to Nigerians in Togo and Benin Republic.
The Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, revealed this on Sunday night during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics programme.
This announcement follows a report that exposed the alarming number of fake degree certificates obtained by Nigerians from these two countries.

The federal government has identified three universities in Togo and five in Benin Republic as the only institutions accredited to offer degree programs to Nigerian students.
