Introduction to EBSU Postgraduate Admission Form

Ebonyi State University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for its postgraduate programmes. These programmes lead to various degrees, including Ph.D., M.Sc., MPA, PGD, PGDE, PGDN, MILD, and LLM.

Admission Requirements and Duration
General Requirements

All candidates must meet specific requirements to be considered for any postgraduate programme at EBSU. A minimum of a credit pass in O’Level English Language is mandatory for all programmes. For candidates in Medical, Para-Medical, Pure and Applied Sciences, and related fields, a credit pass in Mathematics is also required. For Management Sciences, Arts, Social Sciences, and Law, a pass in Mathematics may be accepted, except for Economics, Accountancy, and Banking and Finance, which require a credit pass in O’Level Mathematics.
Specific Programme Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:Hold a Bachelor’s degree from EBSU or another recognised institution.
Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) with an upper credit in a related discipline.
Hold a third class degree with a CGPA of at least 2 on a 5-point scale.
Hold an HND with lower credit in a related discipline and three years of relevant work experience.
Master of Science (MSc)

Candidates must:Be graduates of EBSU or another approved university with at least a good second class honours or equivalent.
Hold an EBSU PGD or a PGD from another recognised institution with a CGPA of not less than 2.5 on a 5-point scale or 60% average.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Candidates must:Hold a Master’s degree appropriate to the proposed study from an approved university.
Have a CGPA of not less than 3.5 on a 5-point scale from the Master’s programme.
Duration of ProgrammesPhD: 6 semesters (3 years)
M.Sc.: 18 months
MPA: 18 months
PGD: 18 months
PGDE: 18 months
PGDN: 18 months
MILD: 18 months
LLM: 18 months
How to Apply for EBSU Postgraduate Admission

Follow these steps to apply for EBSU postgraduate admission:Visit the EBSU portal.
Click on “online application forms” and select “postgraduate application form“.
Enter your mobile phone number and click “proceed”.
Provide the required information and submit to generate an invoice.
Take the payment invoice to the bank and make the payment.
Obtain a bank printout containing the RRR number.
Submit your acknowledgement slip, credentials, and referee forms to the Admission Unit of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

The application form costs Ten Thousand Fifty Naira (N10,050.00), excluding administrative charges.
