The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is now accepting applications for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for the 2023/2024 session. The programme provides a pathway for direct entry admissions into various degree courses at UNN and affiliated universities.










The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is now welcoming applications from qualified candidates for admission into the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The programme offers candidates an opportunity to earn a JUPEB certificate. This certificate paves the way for candidates to gain Direct Entry Admissions into various degree programmes at UNN and other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria and abroad.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible candidates should possess a minimum of 5 Credits, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained at a maximum of two sittings. Other relevant subjects are determined by the candidates’ intended course of study at the University.
Programme Duration

The programme will span a minimum of one academic session comprising two semesters.

The JUPEB programme offers a variety of subject combinations across the Arts, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, and Sciences. The combinations meet the requirements for admission into various courses in these fields at UNN and all other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria and abroad.

How to Apply?

The application fee for the JUPEB programme is N20,000.00, payable via the remita payment platform at any bank. Applicants are required to generate a payment invoice containing a remita number, which will facilitate payment at the bank.

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of the application procedure:Visit the UNN website (unn.edu.ng).
Click on Generate Payment Invoice under JUPEB.
Enter your telephone number and submit.
Enter your Surname, First name, Middle name, and submit.
Print out the invoice and pay at the bank.
After making the payment, visit the portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng).
Click on fill Joint Universities Preliminary Admissions Board programme.
Enter the remita number and submit.
Fill the form and attach your recent colour passport photograph with a white background (maximum size 100KB).
Complete the form and submit.
Print out the acknowledgement slip.

It’s important to note that JUPEB UNN has not authorized any individual or agent to sell application forms on its behalf. All applications and payments are strictly to be made online through the UNN Portal at www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng using Remita and not through individual bank accounts.

General Information

Prospective JUPEB candidates are advised to regularly visit unn.edu.ng and check their email for updates and other relevant information. All candidates are also required to register for the 2024 JAMB Direct Entry at the appropriate time.

The forms must be filled and submitted online either immediately or within two weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.

Candidates are urged to follow the application instructions carefully and ensure they select the correct subject combinations, as failure to do so may adversely affect them.
