OSUSTECH Maiden Convocation Ceremony Date, Other Details



Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) maiden convocation ceremony celebrates the achievements of 982 students from five academic sessions. The historic event features the awarding of degrees and an honorary doctorate to the Chancellor of the University, Oba (Dr.) Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugboland.
Latest Update: The Management of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa has announced the indefinite postponement of its Maiden Convocation Ceremony and all events relating to the Convocation. According to a memo dated 19th March, 2020 and signed by the University's Registry Coordinator, Mr. Idowu Omowole, "the postponement is to serve as a precautionary measure taken to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus". Omowole hinted that a new date would be announced later. Meanwhile, he apologised for all inconveniences the postponement might have caused.



The Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH) in Okitipupa, Ondo State, is set to hold its first-ever convocation ceremony on March 25, 2023. This historic event will see 982 graduands from five academic sessions—2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2018/2019, and 2019/2020—receive their hard-earned degrees.

A Landmark Event for OAUSTECH

The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, announced the convocation during a press conference on Monday, March 20. This event marks a significant milestone for OAUSTECH as it recognizes the academic achievements of its students and celebrates the growth of the institution.
Graduating Classes and Honors

Of the 982 students graduating, 26 have earned first-class honors, 307 students will receive Second Class Upper Division degrees, 488 students will be awarded Second Class Lower Division degrees, and 161 students will graduate with Third Class honors. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of OAUSTECH’s students and faculty.
Special Recognition and Awards

In addition to the awarding of degrees, the convocation ceremony will also feature the presentation of a Doctor of Business Administration (Honours Causa) to the Chancellor of the University, Oba (Dr.) Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan (Okoro Ajiga I). The Olugbo of Ugboland, Oba Akinruntan, will be honored for his exceptional contributions to the field of business administration and his unwavering support for OAUSTECH.
