The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, one of Nigeria’s prestigious tertiary institutions, has announced the start of its admission process for the Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time Programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year. ⏳ Duration All programmes are for 4 Semesters (Full-Time) spread over 2 Academic Sessions.
💸 Application Fee The Application form fee is ₦20,000 (twenty thousand naira only).
✔️ Entry Requirements Candidates must have a National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA not less than 2.50), specific SSSCE requirements, relevant industrial experience, and good performance in screening exercise.
📮 Transcripts National Diploma academic transcript should be sent by ND awarding institution. Admissions are not registered without transcript receipt.
🗓️ Entrance Examination Dates for all HND Programme Entrance Examinations will be announced on the institution’s website and through email.

All programs have a duration of 4 semesters (Full-Time) spread over 2 academic sessions.
Each programme will span over 4 semesters, covering a duration of 2 full academic sessions.
Admission Requirements
To apply for the HND Full-Time Programmes, candidates must meet specific entry requirements:A National Diploma not below Lower Credit (with CGPA not less than 2.50) and basic requirements for the National Diploma Programme in the applicant’s discipline.
Possession of the specific SSSCE requirements i.e. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O’Level for the programme for which the candidate is applying.
Good performance in the Screening exercise to be conducted by the Polytechnic.
Minimum of One Calendar Year Post National Diploma relevant Industrial Experience.
Candidate’s National Diploma academic transcript must be sent by the ND awarding Institution for Candidates who did not finish from The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro.
The institution emphasises that admitted candidates will not be registered until the receipt of the ND Academic Transcript.
Application Process
Candidates are required to complete the Institution’s Application Form available online at the official website from Monday, 10th July, 2023. The closing date for the completion of the application form is Friday, 18th August, 2023.

Step 1: Visit the Institution’s WebsiteBegin by visiting the institution’s website at http://federalpolyilaro.edu.ng/.
Step 2: Access the PortalOnce on the website, click on the Portal.
Step 3: Generate InvoiceOn the Portal, click on ‘Applicant’, then ‘Generate Invoice‘.
Step 4: Make PaymentTake the generated invoice to any of the designated banks for payment. The authorised banks include:United Bank For Africa (UBA) Plc

Step 5: Fill the Application FormAfter payment, return to the portal, click on ‘Applicant’ and then click ‘Fill Application Form’. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your application.
Important Points to NoteEnsure the invoice and RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) are obtained in the applicant’s name. The invoice should be generated from the portal and contains the RRR to be processed.
All candidates are required to upload clear and readable copies of their credentials and testimonials or letters of recommendation in PDF format. Applicants with unreadable documents risk losing their admission.
The screening examination will be conducted online. Therefore, candidates are expected to supply valid personal phone numbers and email addresses on their forms.
The names used by applicants must correspond with those in their WAEC/NECO and JAMB documents. Any differences are not acceptable for admission.
All entrance examinations are computer-based. Applicants will be notified about further details in due course.
Applicants are advised to visit the institution’s website regularly for instructions, updates, and notifications.

Candidates must consult the Institution’s Prospectus on the Website or in hard copy to ascertain their qualifications for the Programmes for which they are applying. The institution warns that candidates should not register for Programmes for which they do not have the requirements. Admission to The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro is provisional and subject to withdrawal if it is discovered that a candidate registered for a programme for which he/she is not qualified or violates any procedures and rules.
