Karl Kumm University (KKU) has detailed its academic calendar for the 2022/2023 undergraduate sessions. The first semester kicks off with student registration on 24th July 2023 and ends with Senate approval of results on 7th December 2023. The second semester commences on 4th December 2023 and concludes on 24th May 2024.

First Semester: Commencing with Fresh Energy
Welcoming the Freshers

The new academic journey will commence on Monday, 24th July 2023, a day earmarked for the Registration and Orientation of Fresh Students. This period offers an opportunity for new students to familiarise themselves with the university environment, register for their courses, and interact with faculty and fellow students.
Registration and Early Lectures

This will be followed by a brief Registration Period, concluding on Saturday, 5th August 2023. For those unable to complete registration within this timeframe, the university offers a Late Registration Period beginning on Monday, 7th August 2023. It is also on this date that the First Semester Lectures kick-off, allowing students to dive into their chosen disciplines without delay. The late registration concludes on Saturday, 12th August 2023.
Matriculation and Examinations

Following a smooth start to the academic journey, the university will conduct its Matriculation ceremony on Wednesday, 30th August 2023, officially welcoming the new students into the Karl Kumm community.

As the semester advances, the First Semester Lectures conclude on Saturday, 4th November 2023, paving the way for the all-important First Semester Examinations starting on Monday, 6th November 2023. These examinations will run until Saturday, 18th November 2023, wrapping up the first semester.
Review and Result Declaration

The subsequent weeks will see faculty members engaged in the Compilation and Submission of Results, occurring from Monday, 20th November to Saturday, 2nd December 2023. The results will then undergo scrutiny, firstly by the Faculty Boards on Tuesday, 5th December 2023 and then by the Senate on Thursday, 7th December 2023.

Second Semester: Progressing Further
Kick-starting the Next Chapter

The second academic instalment of the year, the Second Semester, commences on Monday, 4th December 2023. With a brief pause for the Christmas Break from Friday, 22nd December 2023 to Tuesday, 2nd January 2024, lectures will resume from Wednesday, 3rd January 2024.
Examinations and Break

After a period of rigorous learning, the Second Semester Lectures conclude on Saturday, 9th March 2024, making way for the Second Semester Examinations commencing from Monday, 11th March 2024 to Saturday, 23rd March 2024.
Review and Result Declaration

Post examinations, faculty members engage in the Compilation and Submission of Results from Monday, 25th March to Saturday, 6th April 2024. The academic results are subsequently discussed at the Faculty Boards on Tuesday, 21st May 2024, followed by a session by the Senate on Thursday, 23rd May 2024.
The Finale and New Beginnings

Marking the end of the academic year, Friday, 24th May 2024 will be the official End of the 2022/2023 Academic Session. But the learning doesn’t stop, with the Commencement of Lectures for the 2023/2024 Academic Session occurring on Monday, 27th May 2024.
